Mr. Zheng Jingxin oversees EDB’s engagements with companies and industry development efforts in the mobility and industrial solutions sectors.

Prior to this appointment, Jingxin spent 4 years (2021 to 2024) in New York, USA, leading EDB’s investment promotion efforts in North and South America. His sectors of coverage include Aerospace, Agriculture, Consumer Goods, Digital, Semiconductors, Healthcare, and Industrials, and fostering geo-strategic partnerships with business thought leaders, global think-tanks and the US Administration.

Before that, Jingxin served in various roles within EDB, including Regional Director (Amsterdam) overseeing investment promotion efforts for Benelux region, Head of Transport Engineering overseeing investment promotion efforts for aerospace, marine and offshore, and oil and gas equipment and services, Head of Europe Desk which fostered economic cooperation and investment flows between Europe and Singapore, and Head of Business Environment team responsible for policy-making to strengthen Singapore’s business competitiveness through the review, enhancement and governance of a suite of value propositions.

Jingxin started his EDB career with the Aerospace division. He has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Aerospace Engineering) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is married with one child.

Marko Vuksanovic (Moderator)
Principal, Asia Pacific, Tradewin

As Principal of Asia Pacific, Mr. Marko Vuksanovic leads Tradewin’s consulting practices within the region, including: India, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore/Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Tradewin in 2011, Marko worked in several capacities in the logistics industry including managing freight forwarding and customs operations.

Marko has over 20 years of trade advisory experience in adding value to global supply chains through practical advisory on trade policy, regulatory complexities and trade opportunities, including duty mitigation, trade optimization and supply chain security. He has overseen hundreds of projects, across various industries and enterprise levels, in providing strategic direction for international businesses to establish balanced programmes in mitigating costs, while maximizing compliance.

Marko is a licensed Customs Broker in Australia and holds a Bachelor of International Business, Finance & Trade from the University of South Australia.

Simon J. Hanson (Executive Panel Speaker)
Chairman, Asia Pacific & Middle East, Avolon

Mr. Simon Hanson is a founding executive at Avolon and was appointed as Chairman, Asia Pacific & Middle East in February 2022. Prior to that he was the Head of Asia-Pacific for Avolon, a role that he took on from the establishment of Avolon in 2010. 

Before Avolon, Simon was on the Royal Bank of Scotland team that negotiated the acquisition of IAMG, a small aviation brokerage firm that provided the foundation of RBS Aviation Capital in 2001. Having previously spent 8 years in the UK banking sector, he joined RBS Aviation Capital at its inception initially as an Originator in Europe. He moved to Hong Kong in 2002 to establish a new regional office and create a local aviation finance franchise. During his 23 years plus in Asia he has been (twice) based both in Hong Kong and Singapore and has a successful track record, which has seen him transact business with most of the major airlines across the region.

Mr. Chris Gruener joined the Company in August 2013, being responsible for the technical operations of the aircraft leasing business. His responsibilities include technical asset management, aircraft transition projects, technical terms negotiations, maintenance costing and reserves and technical records.

Chris has a professional history of 13 years with Lufthansa Technik. He held various management positions within Lufthansa Technik in technical operations, line maintenance, engineering, and IT system development. He received his PhD from Darmstadt Technical University in 2001.
