Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the 20 Twenties program:

• At the time of nomination, birth year must be in the year of 1994 to 2003.
• Enrolled full or part time in an accredited Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math (STEM) program.
• Enrolled as an undergraduate or master’s degree student for Spring 2023, Summer 2023 or Fall 2023 academic terms.
• Nominated by a faculty member or dean of the school in which the student is enrolled. The student's employer can request a nomination by a faculty member or dean. In each case, the nomination must be submitted online.
• Faculty members or deans can nominate more than one student from their school.
• Nominations will open Saturday, April 1, 2023. All nominations must be received no later than Sunday, October 15, 2023. No extensions to this date will be granted, and incomplete entries will not be considered.
• Additional recommendation letters can come from any individual who will best represent the student's excellence in their field; such as academic advisor/professor, intern/job supervisor, etc.
• Nominee community involvement, personal challenges and research/design submittals must be provided in the context of the form and must strictly adhere to the word limit.
• Judges will evaluate each nomination based on the nomination form only to ensure consistency of information provided on each student.
• Names should appear on the application as you would wish them to appear on an award or in the printed pages of Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine.
• All nominations should be accompanied by a high-resolution digital color photograph of the individual being nominated. Headshot photos should be a photograph of you as an individual and a high-resolution jpeg (300 dpi). Please no “cropped” shots. Keep in mind the photo may appear in the pages of Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine. The file should be uploaded through the online submission form.
• Any photos or images submitted may be used as part of a live presentation at the 20 Twenties Awards Luncheon, Aviation Week Network's annual Laureate Awards and Dinner, on AviationWeek.com and affiliated websites and in the pages of Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine.
• 20 Twenty winners will be selected and announced in December 2023.
  
• All participants in the 20 Twenties program will receive a complimentary digital subscription to Aviation Week & Space Technology. By completing and submitting an application you acknowledge that a complimentary digital subscription to Aviation Week & Space Technology will be sent to both the Nominator and the Nominee.
